• The best time to bring in Prom Dresses is December or before! Our prime Prom selling time is December - April. Proms are usually in April/Beginning of May but girls shop early for prom so get your dresses in early and don't miss out!

• Our busy season for Wedding, Mother of the Bride/Groom, and bridesmaid dresses is usually the summer months, however, we do sell these styles ALL year round so anytime is a good time to bring these in!

• We are currently accepting all formals anytime we are open, we do accept everything from prom, wedding, bridesmaid, short formals, mother of the bride/groom, ect. 

​

• We can be very selective on dresses ordered online and ask for your understanding with this. We typically will pass on dresses coming from online sites overseas like JJ's House or certain vendors through Amazon. 

​

• We ask that you look over your gowns closely before bringing them in to check for any damage such as stains or tears. If you see that your gowns have any stains, please have them dry cleaned before bringing them in. Use your own discretion, but we do find that very simple chiffon bridesmaid styles with no beadwork can be washed on a delicate cycle and hung to dry.

• We DO NOT consign gowns over 3-5 years old; it is simply difficult to sell older styles. This includes prom, pageant, wedding, mother dresses, etc. 

 

• If you expect that you will want your cloth/canvas dress bag once your dresses' year of consignment is up, you will need to take it with you upon consigning your gown(s) as we do not keep up with your specific bag(s).

• Dresses left up to their 1-year consignment are yours to pick up, just call us ahead of time to make an appointment! Dresses left past their 1 year without consignor contacting us are donated to local Cinderella's Closets - we do NOT call to remind you about your expiration date but you are more than welcome to call us and ask!

• Michelle typically prices dresses at 50-60% of their retail price, we do price check to be sure that our selling price is under the retail price if the dress is still available in stores. If you are unhappy with your quoted price, you are more than welcome to not consign your dress. 

​

• You will receive half of what your dress sells for but not until after your dress has sold.

​

• We do our best to get a sampling of our formals listed on our website, but this takes us some time and it may be a couple of weeks or more to get new items on our site/socials. We also ask that you understand that with our high rate of inventory intake and constant selling, not every dress will make it to our site. We appreciate your patience and understanding of this and know that we work diligently to do everything we can to help your dress sell! If you are comfortable with us resharing your photos of you in your dress, please let us know that when you drop off so we can get those photos from you! This is one way to ensure your dress is posted to social media asap!
